Denis brings a unique blend of experience to the marketplace having been involved in more than 100 transactions as a buyer, seller, investor, advisor or financier of businesses throughout his career. Before founding Pace Capital Resources, over the past ten years he was involved in private equity with River Capital, GenCap American and the Slovak American Enterprise Fund. At River Capital and GenCap America, Denis was responsible for indentifying, underwriting, structuring, closing and managing investments including developing and implementing growth and exit strategies. At the Slovak American Enterprise Fund, he was responsible for the investment portfolio while revising operating and due diligence procedures and implementing a new investment strategy. Prior to private equity, Denis was a founder of a financial advisory firm, and a Senior Vice President of the Corporate Finance Group of Heller Financial, Inc.
He has served as a director of both domestic and international privately held businesses in diverse industries including branded consumer products, recreational consumer products, telecommunications, metal fabrication and household products. He frequently lectures and has spoken to numerous Estate Planning Councils, American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accounts, Institute of Management Accountants, The Family Business Institue and continuing education programs for attorneys and CPAs.
In addition, he is involved in several business organizations including Vistage International, Association for Corporate Growth, Business Enterprise Institute’s Network of Exit Planning Advisors and the Family Business Institute. He previously served as chairman of the Slovak Venture Capital Association and as a director of the European Venture Capital Association.
Denis earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in marketing management from Memphis State University. He has a son and a daughter and lives in Atlanta.
